Have a 1988 Coleman. A cable broke on the left rear lift. Broke under the trailer where cable would go around pully mounted to frame before it goes to the pully for that rear left arm lift for the corner. Is this one a easy fix with the block system coleman uses for the cable attach. Are these cables easy to purchase is this going to be a big job for the fix?? Thanks for any replys!
I have a 1979 Rockwell RW 1006 pop up camper. I had the top all the way up, finished using it and started rolling down and the front end of the top slammed down and the rear of the top stayed up. I was unable the raise the front end of the top but the rear will still go up and down with no problem. After inspecting the lift system everything looked ok springs, chains, gears etc. the only part that didn’t work right was the ratchet dog worked fine but the gear doesn’t move. Can anyone help me with this problem and or tell me where to find parts or the mechanical device diagrams that will show the parts that are in the device.

Hello,

I just purchased a 1999 Jayco Eagle 12FSO, the left rear corner doesnt raise. My buddy lifted the roof on that side while i cranked it and we braced that side with a 2X4 to hold it up. I unscrewed a wood piece closest to the crank and I saw the eye bolts with the cables (1 loose) and 1 spring was exposed. I am not sure what to do from there, are there any more places in particular I should check? Can someone tell me specifically where to disassemble to gain access to the offending cable and how to replace it? Thanks in advance

I just purchased a 1978 starcraft starmaster8. the entire lift system is pretty much nonexistant, but the price was right and the camper in great shape. almost all the lift system was there(laying in peices on floor) except one complete lift arm because the prev. owner decided to take it apart and not finish it. the screens ripped but the canvas newer with common wear, had it patched at local awning co. with excellent return. but, back to the lift system. found the one arm at a local dealer for $130. plus shipping. then i found this website and in the first visit ordered the cables and plan to order the other lift arm to make a complete lift system to install this weekend. It should be pretty easy cuase all the disassembly was already done by prev. owner. will post another thread with b4 and after pics when its done. would be happy to answer any ?'s if anybody is going thruogh this, and it sounds like the biggest problem with these pups.

I have a 1992 Coleman Cape Cod popup trailer that snapped a cable on the lift system. Coleman dealers are telling me that this one cable alone will cost me over $200 - and repairs will be another $300 to $400. I understand that Goshen used to make the lift systems for older Coleman trailers, but haven't been able to determine if mine falls into this group. The Goshen part looks like it costs about $30 (if I'm looking at the right part) and I'd much rather pay $30 than $200! Can anyone tell me if my trailer uses the Goshen lift system?
Thanks.
